The five steps

1 · Get your API key

Sign up free and open rixot.com/api-keys — every account ships with a personal key (rxt_live_…). One key works for MCP and the REST API.

2 · Add the connector

In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Fill three fields: Name — Rixot; Remote MCP server URL — https://ai.rixot.com/mcp?key=YOUR_KEY; OAuth fields — leave empty. Your pre-filled URL is on rixot.com/mcp-connect.

3 · Say what you want

Plain language is enough, e.g.: "Order 3 relevant backlinks for https://yoursite.com/pricing, keyword best crm software, budget $30 — show me the basket before paying anything."

4 · Review & publish — the safety model

Ordering never spends money: placements land in your basket first. Funds move only when publish_basket is called, only from the balance you pre-funded. Refund to balance within 30 minutes if not satisfied.

5 · Track your links

Ask the agent for list_links any time — status, indexing and the published URL for every placement.

The four errors you might meet

Unauthorized (-32001) — the key didn't reach the server; make sure the URL ends with ?key=rxt_live_… (or pass it as a Bearer header).
own_content_disabled — you sent your own HTML but own-content isn't enabled; omit "content" to let the AI write, or ask support.
Your basket is empty — publish_basket was called before any order; run order_backlink first.
Insufficient balance — the basket total exceeds your balance; nothing is charged, top up in the dashboard and publish again.

Ordering backlinks with AI — FAQ

Which AI clients work with the Rixot MCP server?

Claude (web and desktop), ChatGPT with remote MCP connectors, Cursor, and any client that speaks MCP over HTTP. You add one URL — no code, no OAuth.

Is it safe — can the agent overspend?

No. Ordering never charges anything; only an explicit publish call pays, and only from the balance you pre-funded in the dashboard. The agent has no tool to top up funds.

What can the agent NOT do?

It cannot add money to your balance (dashboard-only), and it cannot bypass the basket — every order sits there until it's explicitly published.

What does a link cost?

Standard pricing is tiered by domain authority from $1 to $500 per permanent dofollow placement; during the current promo every domain is a flat $10. Pay per link, no subscription.

Can this run on a schedule?

Yes — over the REST API from any cron, workflow or agent framework: the same loop (donors → order → publish → track) is plain JSON.
